Odinga Junior Urges Moses Kuria To Join Azimio Party

Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria and Raila Odinga Junior joined President Uhuru Kenyatta at a high-level Kenya-United Arab Emirates (UAE) business forum which commenced on Tuesday, February 15.

Kuria also bumped into Raila Junior, the son of the former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga and posed for photos with the duo grateful for meeting each other overseas.

“It is good to bump into my brother, Moses Kuria in Dubai, and I am happy to witness his recovery. I have asked him to join the winning team, Azimio, so that we move Kenya forward together (tupeleke Kenya mbele pamoja),” wrote Odinga Junior on his twitter account as the political heat continues to rise with each passing day towards the August 2022 elections, with just a few months remaining.

Kuria has been in Dubai for nearly three months where he received treatment after injuring his legs with an electric blanket. The MP underwent stem cell surgery which enabled him to walk after a long time.

The MP revealed that he would be on the sidelines of the forum through which Kenya is expected to strengthen business ties with the Gulf state. Uhuru was accompanied by officials from the Kenya business community and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). On February 14, Uhuru flew to Dubai for the three-day official visit. The Head of State will also officially open the Kenya-UAE business forum before having a sit down with the UAE leadership.

“The purpose of the President coming here is to showcase business and investment opportunities that are available in Kenya. And there are quite a number of them mostly in the investment areas,” Kenya’s Ambassador to the UAE, Kariuki Mugwe stated. He also met Cabinet Secretaries Peter Munya and Mutahi Kagwe, as well as Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Richard Ngatia. On February 3, Deputy President William Ruto also visited the Gatundu South MP at the Dubai hospital. Kuria took to his Facebook page to reveal that the country’s second in command was in Dubai where he also paid him a courtesy call.
